Project brief
Engaging, entertaining and serving as the perfect backdrop to the fleet of cars on display, Dongfeng Peugeot’s booth at Shanghai Auto Show 2017 was also an outstanding example of how clever planning can also deliver extra value to the client.
In the lead up to the show, Dongfeng Peugeot engaged early with the Pico team for their expertise in exhibition appliance production, booth fabrication and maintenance. The team was also to use sustainable practices in the fabrication process. The project’s overall goal was to help boost the marque’s appeal – and sales – in the marketplace.
Execution
Surrounded by 10 Dongfeng Peugeot models – including one exotic concept vehicle – the 1,125 sq. m. booth offered plenty of visual appeal. Inside, visitors were enticed by interactive activities such as three Virtual Reality (VR) experiences of car interiors, a variety of prizes and quiz games, and an ‘X-ray experience’ with experts leading a fascinating journey into the workings of a car engine.
Notably, the booth was designed as a modular structure of as few major components as possible. This considerably eased the tasks of assembly and disassembly, saving on time and money.
Sustainability
All coatings, paints and materials used in its construction were selected for safety and minimal impact on human health and the environment.
More than 300,000 people visited the booth during the course of the Shanghai Auto Show 2017 – a successful outcome that fulfilled the brand-enhancing goals of the project.
